Chidhood Chasm: Which one is the optimum?

A man has to elapse through many stages of life, since he is born until he dies. He passes through infancy, childhood, boyhood, youth, middle age and old age. Of all these phases of life childhood is the most cardinal. It is a mixture of happiness, wonder, angst and resilience. It is a world without much adult interference. It is a time to learn about responsibilities without having to deal with adult responsibilities. Childhood is the most critical period of our life-span. Therefore it is important the way we live it. The things we assimilate during our childhood stay with us until our life ends. It is the period when our mind takes shape. Our mental attitude and physical fitness builds up. Therefore, we should live it wisely.

So, I would like to commence the competition between Gen X and Gen Y with education. Education in the early 20th century was not a topic of great heed. As at that time, there were mostly villages and very less well developed areas having educational institutions, people were also not aware of the importance of education. While in today’s modern era, education is a topic of cognizance. There are well flourished schools and colleges and children pay great attention to their studies. However, there were also many positives of rural education. I remember my grandfather saying that his school was 16 kilometers away from his village he covered all this distance simply by running. Because of very less schools in the remote areas, it became a strong reason for raising their physical fitness. While on the other hand if we talk about today, a student doesn’t even need to walk 5 steps and his school bus or other transport facilities are there to take him to school. This is an extensive reason why children today are not having enough stamina to promenade even 2-3 kilometers.
