Writing Assessment and How to Self Publish a Book

Knowing how to self publish a book is important, but a writing assessment is even more important. Before you think of self publishing your own book, you must get an independent view of your style of writing, including your use of grammar and sentence construction. While you might give your work to your family and friends to critique, how objective are they going to be?

A very important lesson for any budding new author learning how to self publish a book is to get the views of other people that do not have an interest in their success or failure.  Your family and friends will be biased, as will your agent if you have one.
