The Big Demand for Copywriters

Even the worsening economy cannot stop the market in looking for good copywriters.  In fact the harder that it gets for businesses to sell their products, the more businessmen need good advertising.  That’s the rule of thumb:  you only get to be noticed if you have ads that catch consumers’ attention and get them to buy your products.

‘Benefits of Working as a Freelance Writer'

A freelancer is an independent contractor who works for one or more employers without any binding relationships. With flexible schedules, a freelance writer can work from any place; choose on the time to work, number of clients to handle, and the amount of money to receive (Swenson). Freelance writing today has become a full-fledged profession, providing as much satisfaction as other career fields. Similar to other career fields, those with vast experience and valuable knowledge in freelancing gain more and more appreciation, sometimes, outweighing benefits employees reap from other fields. Freelancers spend much time writing their scripts, receiving credits for their good work, and recurrently working on fascinating projects. As opposed to employees from other fields, freelancers are not obliged to report to a central workstation; they only have deadlines to meet in their work schedules.

Operating against the odds, a freelancer enjoys the latitude of working within flexible periods; one can decide to work the entire night, take a break during the day, and pick on projects at own convenience (Campbell). A freelance writer enjoys great autonomy of picking operational hours, which completely revamp the traditional work mindset (Anamika). Notably, colleges do not teach freelancing practice as lecture hours and timetables condition a trainee to adhere to a work pattern. Consequently, freelancers are able to do other activities: having fun with their families, watching television channel, and even visiting other websites within their working schedules with no hesitation. Freelance writing, therefore, is fit for people who like to work from any point with no restricted hours of operation.

Self Publishing, Partnership Publishing, POD Publishing Traditional Publishing: the Difference?

Although digitalization vividly asserts their similarities, there are striking differences.

Self Publishing: Self publishing is a publishing strategy where the author takes responsibility for payment of his work, takes full control of the production process, sometimes edit his work and participate in the promotion. Through the use of various online and offline means, he promotes, advertises and distributes his work. The author get at least half of the proceeds. This type of publishing is limited in scope, lacks quality publishing, lagging in editorial professionalism and demands lots of money. Although self publishers release thousands of books within a year, most of them are usually not ‘noised’ about; rarely advertised by the media. Bookababy.com, createspace.com,bookblurb.com, lulu.com, i-proclaim.com, myebook.com are examples of online self publishers. Nearly all manuscripts are accepted by self publishers and can be published on-line via self-publishing means. They advertise themselves on the internet because they need more authors. The higher the number of authors, the greater their chances of making more money! Lighthouse publishers, Dippers Publishing House, iuniverse, Trafford Publishing Dlite press amongst others are examples of off-line self publishers.
